Weechi's Wee Wonders![]()
My favorite hobby is Miniatures. This page will have some pictures of my little house. It is my first dollhouse and a lot of fun to put together. It is the ORCHID
The Exterior treatment is glueing on of eggshells, then coating a of plaster between the shells, followed by painting the shells with a stone paint. (actually several coatings of stone paint.)

All the flowers are formed from bread dough. If you look close you will find 5 bumble bees in the flowers, as well as two swallow nests under the eaves complete with tiny eggs.
BREAD DOUGH
(Crumble up a a slice of white bread, crust removed, Mix with a tablespoon of Aleene's Tacky glue, and a bit of Ceramic stain paint. Stir it up till it forms a ball Then kneed and roll in your hands untill it is no longer sticky. The tulips and tiger lilly's were formed by making a little ball then stretching it down over the pointie end of a pen. The Pansies : make a little ball and flatten it, Then paint the little faces on. Giving away my secrets. :-)

What garden is complete without a FROG to eat the bugs.
Also notice the saw and axe to cut the wood for the Little's fireplace. This is a set also hand made by me, out of wood and bread dough.

The curtains are bits of lace soaked with fabric stiffener and ceramic stain. then taken out and pinned onto wax paper until the draping sets. The table is set for breakfast, The plates are the plastic liners from pop bottles. While the food (bacon and eggs) and the tea service are again made from bread dough.

The painting over the fire place was colored on Shrink-it and signed by the artist. His sig.is about 1/8 inches high.
